Visiting with Confidence, Guidance, and Good Practice
We continue to review the government guidelines, as well as actively seeking best practice advice from the hospitality industry bodies, such as UK Hospitality, the AA, and PGA.
We are delighted to have been awarded the following accreditations via different new initiatives, created specifically to put your mind at complete ease when visiting us.

AA COVID-19 Confident

The AA has been trusted by the public as a source of hospitality ratings and recommendations for over 112 years. The new COVID Confident assessment scheme has been backed by the hospitality industry, with many high-profile trade bodies supporting the initiative. The AA checks that each business has the necessary measures in place for a safe visit.

Hotel Guest Communications

Our pre-arrival email communications provides additional information regarding your stay with us.
Guests are required to complete Track and Trace on arrival – plus provide contact details including: email, telephone number, and address.
There is extra signage around the resort to highlight our face covering and social distancing policy.

The wearing of face coverings is at your own discretion, however, we do encourage their use as a common courtesy to fellow guests, visitors, and staff. We ask that you continue to social distance where possible.

On check-in, each guest/bedroom will receive a ‘one’ use welcome document, with updates on our guidelines, as well as operational information.

We politely request that you pre-book Breakfast, Afternoon Tea, and Dinner in our Shelburne Restaurant in advance.

The Hotel Swimming Pool and Gym are open for hotel residents, for pre-booked slots of 55 minutes via Hotel or Spa Reception. The Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and aromatherapy showers are open as normal.
Spa treatments are available to book via Spa or Hotel Reception.

Check-in – 15:00pm
Check-out – 11:00am
 
If you wish to pre-book a round of golf on our PGA course, please contact The Pro Shop who will be happy to arrange this for you.

Enhanced Cleaning

We are operating specific cleaning practices, based on the COVID-19 risk assessments.

Sanitising stations are located throughout the resort (including hotel bedrooms) and we ask that you use them when entering and leaving the hotel.

Regular cleaning of shared surfaces is being conducted throughout the day and night.

All bedrooms and public areas have COVID-19 Air conditioning filters installed.

We use a Corona Ozone Generator in each bedroom before use, which sanitises and purifies the air, killing bacteria during the 30-minute process.

Our Team plus Suppliers and Partners

Our Team:
All team members have been trained on health and hygiene procedures and their responsibility to guests and colleagues. Reasonable steps have been taken to follow all the government guidelines:

All team members who are customer-facing and those who wish to wear it out of choice will continue to wear face coverings at this time. They will also continue to wash their hands regularly for at least 20 seconds at a time.
Hand sanitisers are located at all staff entry points.
All staff are temperature checked as they enter the building and are required to confirm that they have not been in contact with anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms.
Any staff showing any signs of infection will be asked to immediately leave the premises.
Operating procedures are clearly displayed in all staff areas and social distancing is implemented in all working environments.

Our Partners / Suppliers:
We continue to collaborate closely with all our suppliers and partners, to ensure all their policies meet government guidelines.

We have a designated delivery area, which will be constantly monitored and sanitised. PPE will be worn by our staff when accepting deliveries.

The Resort's Facilities

Our PGA Golf Course is welcoming both members and guests and the team continues to follow all government and PGA recommended guidelines.

The Bowood Estate has almost 2,000 acres to explore and there are many walks to enjoy.

The Swimming Pool and Gym is open for hotel residents only via pre-booked 55-minute slots. The sauna, steam room, and aromatherapy showers are open. Spa treatments are available to book via hotel reception.

The wearing of face coverings is at your own discretion, however, we do encourage their use as a common courtesy to fellow guests, visitors, and staff. We ask that guests and visitors continue to social distance where possible.

Social Distancing throughout the resort

The Resort’s Shelburne Bar & Restaurant, Library, and Clubhouse Brasserie have been arranged to allow continued social distancing between our visitors and guests.

The wearing of face coverings is at your own discretion, however, we do encourage their use as a common courtesy to fellow guests, visitors, and staff.

Hotel Reservations and Revised Procedures

We have improved our arrival and check-in procedures to reduce paper and speed up the arrival process. Please note, you must have a valid reservation before entering Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort.

Our check-in and check-out timings are as follows:

Check-in – 15:00pm
Check-out – 11:00am

Food and Drink

We ask that all hotel guests pre-book timings for Breakfast, Afternoon Tea and Dinner.

If you are not staying with us, you can still visit both the Shelburne Bar and Restaurant and the Brasserie, however, you must call in advance to book a table. We will ask you for your contact details and the names of your party for Track and Trace.
Please note: We are unable to accept any walk-in visitors at this time.

The Spa at Bowood & Gym

The Swimming Pool and Gym are open for hotel residents via pre-booked 55-minute slots. The sauna, steam room, and aromatherapy showers are also open. Spa treatments are available to book via hotel or Spa reception. There is no longer a requirement to wear a face-covering during spa treatments.
