VISIT US WITH COMPLETE CONFIDENCE

To ensure that we can reopen safely, we will initially limit our daily capacity. This means everyone must book online for Day Tickets and Tours in advance. Season Ticket Holders do not need to pre-book online.

We want to make sure that everyone who visits Bowood House & Gardens can have fun and do so safely. Here are a few points to bear in mind to ensure you and our other visitors enjoy their visit.

The Treehouse Café is open for takeaway, therefore in line with government guidelines, we ask guests when visiting the Treehouse Café or using our toilet facilities to wear a face mask at all times.

We ask our guests to observe good hygiene practices when they visit by washing their hands in any of the public toilets within our facilities upon arrival and regularly during their visit.

From 29 March, the government guidelines state that either 6 people (the Rule of 6) or 2 households are allowed to meet outdoors. We do ask that when visiting Bowood, you follow the government guidelines.

OPENING TIMES:
The grounds open at 11:00am, with last admissions at 17:00, closing at 18:00.


CHILDREN
Please remember that all children (under the age of 16) visiting Bowood must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 18 or over), with a valid Day Ticket or Season Ticket, at all times.


ACCESSIBLE TOILETS AND CHANGING FACILITIES
Accessible toilets are initially provided in the Treehouse Café.
Baby changing facilities are available in the Treehouse Café and next to the Adventure Playground.
Please ask a member of the team if you require any assistance.
We ask that face masks are worn when using the toilet facilities.


GROUNDS & GARDENS – OPEN
The grounds and gardens opened on 1st April.
Please keep children and other vulnerable people supervised and safe, especially around the lake and cascade.
Please observe all notices during your visit – they are there for the safety of visitors and staff.
Do not stray into cordoned-off areas.
Under no circumstances should anything be picked or eaten from the grounds or gardens.
While you are welcome to bring your own picnic, the use of barbecues within Bowood is strictly prohibited.
Wheelchairs can be borrowed, subject to availability.


ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND & THE DEN – OPEN
The outdoor areas of the Adventure Playground , along with the outdoor area of The Den, are open.
Hand Sanitizer is available throughout the grounds.
There will be timed session slots in place for the Adventure Playground which must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. Season Ticket Holders do not need to book slots in advance.  Your child will be given a coloured wristband for the session booked.
Session timings are as follows: 11:15am – 1:15pm or 1:30pm – 3:30pm or 3:45pm – 5:45pm.
Please note, currently, the Ball Pit, Wendy House, Flying Fox, Soft Play, The Den (indoors) will remain closed until further notice.
Litter Bins are available, we do ask if you could please take litter home with you.

BOWOOD HOUSE – OPENING 17th MAY
Bowood House and Gift Shop will reopen (subject to guidelines) on Monday 17th May.


EATING AND DRINKING
The Treehouse Café is open for Takeaways. In line with government guidelines, you must wear a face mask on entering the Treehouse Café and follow the one-way system and social distancing rules.
The Ice Cream Kiosk within the Adventure Playground is open.
The Stables Restaurant located within the House will remain closed at this time.

FIRST AID
There are several members of staff who are trained in first aid, including specific COVID training. Please note however they are equipped to treat minor injuries only. Please ask a member of staff to direct you to the nearest first aider.


LOST PERSONS
In the event that a child or other vulnerable person becomes separated from your party, please make your way to Admissions to report the matter.


PARKING
Please allow distancing between cars in the car park.
Please do not leave pets in parked cars.
If you use our car parks, you do so at your own risk. Bowood is not able to accept any responsibility for damage, accidents, or losses.


SMOKING
Please note that smoking or vaping are not permitted on site.
