IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON WELCOMING YOU
BACK TO BOWOOD

Updated: 13th July 2020

In order to maintain a safe environment and to provide fair opportunity for access, opening of the Adventure Playground will initially be for Season Ticket holders and their guests only. Access will be controlled using a timed, wristband system – wristbands will be allocated at admissions on arrival, giving each family the chance to access the Adventure Playground for two hours during the course of their visit:

* Session 1 – 11:15 to 13:15

  * Session 2 – 13:30 to 15:30

 * Session 3 – 15:45 to 17:45

While the number of children within the Adventure Playground during each session will be limited, this system allows for a larger number of visitors to access the Adventure Playground over the course of a day than if we utilised a one-on-one out system. Nonetheless, we will monitor these arrangements on a day-to-day basis to ensure that we both maximise opportunities for access, while keeping the play area safe.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Friends and family of current Season Ticket Holders may now visit Bowood from Tuesday 14th July.
The entire party must arrive at the Admissions Kiosk at the same time and we will collect contact details for the whole group to comply with government guidelines. This data will be stored for 21 days and then safely destroyed.

Guests accompanying Season Ticket Holders will be able to purchase the following categories of tickets at the admissions kiosk.

o Adult (17yrs +) – £13.50
o Young Adult (13-16yrs)  – £11.25
o Senior (60yrs +) – £11.25
o Junior (7-12yrs) – £10.25
o Child (2-6yrs) – £8.25

IMPORTANT VISITOR INFORMATION REGARDING ARRANGEMENTS
IN PLACE FOR THE ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND

In addition, visitors must please take note of the following arrangements:

  • As in normal times, parents will be responsible for supervising their children at all times in the Adventure Playground – this must now include regular hand washing and observing social distancing protocols.
  • Each household will be allowed two adults within the Adventure Playground – gatherings of more than six people in any one location are prohibited.
  • Given the nature of the Adventure Playground, it will not be possible to sanitise the play equipment between uses. Accordingly, those accessing the play areas must focus on handwashing and general hygiene – on arrival, throughout play, and on departure.
  • Benches are provided within the Adventure Playground, however, visitors are also welcome to bring their own picnic blankets and folding seats.
  • If at any stage our management team determines it is necessary to limit visitor numbers within the Adventure Playground, we will do so – this is for everyone’s safety.

Please note: Initially, the Tube Slides, Wendy House and Ball Pit within the Adventure Playground will remain closed.
We will endeavour to open the Space Dive if visitor numbers and behaviour allows.

HHA Members

Members of the HHA may visit Bowood House & Gardens at this time. Members must show their membership cards on arrival and access is limited to three times per year per member.
