October 18, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Bowood House & Gardens – Gardeners’ Bothy
The autumnal colours of Bowood’s historic arboretum will stir the creative senses when Annabel Lewis, owner of VV Rouleaux leads the ‘Faux Chanel Hat Workshop’ in the Gardeners’ Bothy.
Annabel founded VV Rouleaux www.vvrouleaux.com in 1990 with the belief that ‘there are no barriers between fashion and decorating, home and catwalk’. Her Bath and London shops are treasure troves for hunting down the finest ribbons, fancy tassels, cute pom poms and all manner of beautifully decorative bits-and-bobs. VV Rouleaux’s old-world know-how blends with fresh urban cool to inspire designers & decorators, stylists & crafters and other lovers of colour and texture.
At the Bowood workshop, learn top millinery tricks from Annabel whilst creating a beautiful Chanel-inspired button hat. You’ll use fabrics from the real Chanel supplier, a button base, couture flowers, swooning feathers, and gorgeous trims to make a one-of-a-kind design. Come away with a hat that will be perfect for an autumn/winter race meeting or wedding.
