Bowood House & Gardens are open daily from 11am; last admissions at 5pm, closing at 6pm until Monday 1st November 2021. *PLEASE NOTE: Bowood House will close at 3:30pm*

After the Autumn clock change on the 30th October last admissions will be 16:00 closing at 17:00.

Included within your Day Ticket is access to Bowood House (open from 11:30-3:30pm), Terrace Gardens, Grounds and Adventure Playground. Day Tickets must be purchased in advance. The Adventure Playground is open and The Den. Please note that Soft Play and Activity Barn are currently closed.)

Please note: Disabled and carer tickets, receive a 50% discount, only available to purchase on the day at Admissions. Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the Grounds of Bowood House & Gardens.

Whilst facemasks are no longer a legal requirement, we encourage their use in all indoor areas.


Season Tickets

Early Bird 2022 Season Ticket’s on sale from midday 21st October.

Included in your Season Ticket is access to Bowood House, Terrace Gardens and Grounds and the Adventure Playground and The Den, Woodland Gardens (during April to early June). With your Season Ticket you can visit as many times as you wish throughout the open season.


Food & Drink

The Treehouse Café, Stables Restaurant and the Ice-Cream Kiosk.

The Stables Restaurant is closed and will not open again until the 2022 season.

The Treehouse Café is open, located next to the Admissions office, serving sandwiches, baguettes, Jacket Potatoes for takeaways with limited seating inside.

The Ice-Cream Kiosk is open during the holidays and weekends and is located within the Adventure Playground.


Bowood's Private Garden Tours

An award-winning garden made up of four distinctly different one-acre squares. Closed to the public but available for group bookings and for visitors to book onto our Individual Private Walled Garden Guided Tours throughout the season, as below:

LORD AND LADY LANSDOWNE’S PRIVATE WALLED GARDEN TOURS- On selective dates throughout the season, you can purchase a place on an exclusive guided tour. 2022 dates coming soon.

Bowood House, home to the Marquis and Marchioness of Lansdowne, is surrounded by 2,000 acres of Grade 1 listed ‘Capability’ Brown Parkland, the award-winning Walled Gardens and spring Woodland Gardens. Whether you are a tour operator, special interest group or planning to visit with friends and family, we have a variety of group packages and guided tours.


Woodland Gardens

The Woodland Gardens are now closed and will open again mid April to early June 2022.

A separate attraction with a separate entrance to Bowood House & Gardens. The entrance is just off the A342, Devizes Road, between Derry Hill and Sandy Lane villages.

Only open for 6 weeks during the flowering season. Covering over 30 acres, this garden is an oasis of bluebells, azaleas, magnolias, and rhododendrons. Considered to be one of the most exciting gardens of its type in the country with over 30 hardy hybrids, which were thought to be extinct.

The Woodland Gardens will reopen again from mid April to early June 2022.
