Join in the fun this Easter with our BIG Egg Hunt in the grounds, find the eggs, unscramble the letters, and guess the word to win a prize.
In celebration of our Wonderland themed Easter activities, you can also create your own ‘Mad Hatter’ teacup in the Gardeners’ Bothy on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th April, tickets and details below.
Over the Easter weekend Marketa from Crazy Cheeks Face Painting will be with us in the Adventure Playground (weather dependent) so come along and have your face painted in a Wonderland theme. Please note this will be chargeable on the day.
Wonderland Easter Egg Trail
Easter fun awaits you at Bowood House & Gardens.
1st – 16th APRIL
Opens: 10:00amThe mischievous White Rabbit has hidden 10 large eggs through the Arboretum.
Find the eggs, unscramble the letters and guess the word to win a prize.Normal admissions apply, complimentary for Season Ticket Holders.
Please note the trail route runs throughout the Arboretum over uneven ground that may become muddy in wet weather and therefore may be unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs and for those with limited mobility.
Purchase a Day Ticket'Mad Hatter' Teacups - Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th April
In celebration of our Wonderland themed Easter activities, you can create your own ‘Mad Hatter’ teacup in the Gardeners’ Bothy on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th April.
Choose a teacup, add a selection of plants and flora, and create your own ‘Mad Hatter’ teacup to take home and keep! During the session, Bowood’s florist, Claire Satchell will be on hand to help you create your own design. There will be a selection of lovely vintage teacups to choose from, all unique and individual.
Price £5.00 per child
Date: Saturday 15th April and Sunday 16th April
Workshop Duration: 30 mins
Cost: £5 per child
Timings: 10:30 – 16:00 (last session finishes at 16:30)On arrival at Admissions, please show your confirmation email and a wristband will be handed to you. Please then head to The Gardeners’ Bothy at your booked timeslot.
This activity is not included in the House & Gardens admission fee. Please purchase a day ticket online and a separate ticket for the workshop.
2023 Season Ticket Holders, If you would like your child to attend the workshop, please purchase a ticket per child HERE. Season Ticket Holders do not need to purchase a Day Ticket, just show you Season Ticket Card on arrival.

The Wonderland Easter Egg Trail is complimentary for 2023 Season Ticket Holders.
A Day Ticket must be purchased before arrival to take part in the trail, normal House & Gardens Admissions apply.
Disabled and carer day tickets, receive a 50% discount off our House & Gardens Day Tickets.
Unfortunately, only assistance dogs are permitted inside the Grounds of Bowood House & Gardens.
Face painting is payable on the day directly to the face painter.
‘Mad Hatter’ teacup activity is chargeable for all guests (including Season Ticket Holders) and needs to be booked in advance and does not include access to Bowood House & Gardens a separate Day Ticket must be purchased.IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Plant materials are subject to seasonal change and availability.
All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Suitable for all ages (although under 5’s may need more parent/guardian assistance).
Activity should last for around 30 mins and group size will be limited.
