If you’re thinking of tying the knot here on the beautiful Bowood Estate, read some of Alanna and Jon’s special highlights…
We chose to get married at Bowood for a couple of reasons. Firstly, Bowood is simply beautiful! The grounds and scenery are always well kept! Secondly, my grandfather used to look after the gardens which meant I spent a lot of valued time here as a young child. It was a way of celebrating our special day whilst feeling as though my grandfather was a part of it too.
Planning weddings can be stressful, and having not done it before I didn’t really know what to expect. I connected with the wedding planner, and they were so open to our ideas of our perfect day! There was no pressure at all. If we had a wacky idea, they were all for it! Likewise, they helped us focus on the day and kept in regular contact to answer any last-minute queries we had. I found the process stress-free, and that’s largely down to having someone professional and experienced to guide us through the wedding plans.
It’s hard to focus on favourite moments, the day flew by so quickly! “Time flies when you’re having fun”. We definitely agree that the staff at Bowood were fantastic and enabled the day to run so smoothly. Our guests were so relaxed and well looked after. Nothing was too much to ask. The food was incredible too! My only regret was not eating more of it!
The beautiful scenery is without doubt something we will forever love. But we both agree that the staff at Bowood made this a no-brainer in terms of booking the wedding here. They were so friendly from start to finish, and they even went out of their way to organise a Bride and Groom trip to an area of importance to the Bride.
Don’t hesitate to book a wedding at Bowood. Have a plan in mind, set a budget and ask lots of questions. But ultimately, enjoy the day and take moments to breathe as a newly married couple. It’s lovely to just take a moment to observe the room and see your guests enjoying your special day with you!
