Personal Training at Bowood

The Spa, at Bowood’s Personal Trainers, are each fully qualified experts in health and fitness. Our friendly team offers bespoke guidance, advice and support to help each individual to achieve their specific goals.

Our personal training service is available to all members and hotel guests staying at Bowood Hotel Spa & Golf Resort. Our team can offer 1:1 sessions, group sessions or combined packages, to help guide you through weight management, nutrition, motivation, goal-setting and wellness/lifestyle programmes.

PT sessions can be arranged by appointment only. Please contact Spa reception in advance to book your session.

Meet Our Trainers

After serving in the armed forces, Glen developed a huge passion for health and fitness. As an avid fitness fanatic and keen runner, Glen regularly competes in half marathons, 10k and 5k runs, Tough Mudders, Spartan Races, duathlons and enjoys representing his army regimental football team.

As a personal trainer here at Bowood, Glen thoroughly enjoys being able to use his own fitness experience and knowledge to help others in achieving their personal fitness goals.

As a former professional tennis coach and lifeguard for Wiltshire Council, Martyn developed his love for fitness by qualifying as a gym and fitness instructor.  In 2015, Martyn completed the Great North Run for Cancer Research and has since taken on various other 10k road races.

Martyn enjoys taking part in High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and has had proven many successes with his clients with this style of workout.

Fresh from her own health and fitness journey, Lauren is our newest recruit in the team. Lauren’s journey began 3 years ago when she made the decision to lose weight. Three years on and 6 stone lighter, Lauren is a happier and healthier person and is passionate about supporting others on their own journeys.

Lauren’s favourite form of training is strength training and is currently working hard to achieve her goal of building on her cardiovascular endurance.

Joe studied BSc Health, Exercise & Physical Activity at the University of St Mark & St John before going on to complete a Master of Science in Nutrition, Physical Activity & Public Health at the University of Bristol, where he will be graduating in 2018. Joe is a certified Level 3 Personal Trainer through the Register of Exercise Professionals and is also an accredited REPs Level 2 Exercise in Water Instructor and Level 3 Exercise Referral Instructor.

We’re thrilled to have someone with Joe’s knowledge in the team and look forward to seeing his expertise of diet and activity related public health and wellbeing put into practice with our wonderful members.
