Group Visits

We are delighted to welcome groups to visit and enjoy all that Bowood has to offer.  From the beautiful Bowood House, home to the Lansdowne family for over 250 years and home to a unique collection of historical artefacts to beautiful “Capability” Brown designed parkland, gardens spanning every era of garden design and the remarkable beauty of the Rhododendron Gardens.

Exclusive Tours of Lord and Lady Lansdowne’s Private Walled Gardens are also available.

Dedicated group catering is also available in the recently refurbished House Stables Restaurant for groups of 20 or more. We would be happy to arrange morning coffee and biscuits, a two course lunch or afternoon tea. Catering must be pre-booked at least two weeks in advance of your group visit.

Alternatively the Treehouse Café is open every day serving hearty hot meals and freshly made sandwiches as well as delicious homemade cakes and biscuits from 10.30am to 5pm.

For groups of 20 or more we can tailor your visit to your requirements and can arrange catering and disabled access for coaches.

To help you promote your visit we can send you leaflets as well as supply you with information and stunning images to use.

We would also be happy to arrange a familiarisation trip for you.

Coach drivers receive complimentary access to Bowood House and Gardens and a lunch voucher to be redeemed in the Temple Gate Coffee Shop.

For more information or to book please call Debby Edwards on 01249 810961 .

I really wanted to thank you so much for all your help and direction on the day. The most frequent remark I heard at the end of our visit was just how professional everything was planned and carried out. From beginning to end it was just perfect. I especially appreciated your meeting the coach at the gate. The added bonus of the availability of lunch in the Restaurant was also just wonderful many people decided they would rather have lunch in the beautiful Restaurant surroundings instead.

Again, the lady who met us at the entrance to the Woodland Gardens was loaded down with all sorts of maps and blog info regarding the Walk of the Week, and a number of people remarked how well organized things were there and how well the day was going. The Walk of the Week signs along the way through the gardens kept us all going in the right direction.

We had 34 people on our coach and everyone enjoyed the whole day. The gardens are excellent but what really stands out is the attitude of everyone who works there. There is a willingness to solve any problems with a positive “can do” approach. The restaurant food was very good and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. I would recommend this destination to any gardening club, particularly the walled gardens tour and the buffet lunch. The organisation is very good and the whole day was good value for money. We could have spent more time – allow the whole day.
