The Gardeners’ Bothy has recently been renovated to offer schools a lovely warm welcome with an area for teaching and practical activity sessions. The facilities within Gardeners’ Bothy include an overhead projector, DVD player, sound system, table and chairs, lavatories and an area for refreshments.  Children can either enjoy their packed lunch in the Gardeners Bothy or within the grounds.


  • Children aged between 5 and 12 years £8.00
  • Children aged between 2 and 4 years £6.00
  • Includes a presentation, tour and activity with the opportunity to enjoy the House and Gardens, Adventure Playground and Tractor Ted’s Little Farm after
  • Minimum of 20 children. Free admission for one adult with every five children


  • All school visits must be booked in advance
  • Available to book during our 2018 opening season; 28th March – 4th November 2018, 10am to 6pm
  • Teachers are welcome to visit in advance (complimentary) to view the facilities and plan the visit
